User Testimonials

"Just a word to praise your efforts on the new version 5.

It is a tremendous improvement over previous versions, especially in regard to language use.

I have three other bible software programs which I use, yours is head and shoulders above the others.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!"

Version 3 (three) gives the message: You are not authorized to use this software. (KB551)

The following instructions apply only to PC Study Bible Version 3.  If you have Version 4, see KB509.

Please read both situations to determine which best describes your situation.

Situation 1 - PC Study Bible Version 3 was working fine on my computer, then I installed Windows XP to this same computer and now when I try to run PC Study Bible Version 3, I get the message "You are not authorized to use this software."

7. Click on View

9. Click on the Hide Extensions for Known Files Types to remove the Check in the Box (if it is there already)
10. Click Apply (if any changes were made)
11. Click OK
12. Click on the Plus (+) in front of My Computer

20. Release the Right Mouse Button
21. Select MOVE HERE
22. Click the X in the Upper Right Corner to Close Windows Explorer

Situation 2 - PC Study Bible Version 3 was working fine, but now when I try to run PC Study Bible Version 3, I get the message "You are not authorized to use this software."

Note - The following solutions assume that you have an English/American version of Windows, and that PC Study Bible and Windows are installed to drive C.  If your system does not meet these requirements, contact Technical Support.

First, we need to remove the files which caused the Not Authorized message, so click here to download and run the file not_auth.exe.

When you run not_auth.exe, you will see:

Click OK.  The tool runs very quickly.  Then you see:

Click OK.

Second, we need to install the correct files by re-installing your highest-versioned version 3 CD, e.g. 3.3A or 3.2F:
Variation A - If this CD has the words Reference Library in its title, you need to re-install in a special way:
Put the CD in the CD drive tray, but do NOT close the drive.
Hold down the SHIFT key on the keyboard.
Now push the CD drive tray closed.
Count slowly to 30 then let up on the Shift key. (This process prevents the CD from starting on its own.)
Turn off any anti-virus software. If you need help doing this, click here.

1. From your Windows taskbar, click on the START button.

2. Choose RUN. . .

3. Click on the BROWSE button.

4. Select your CD-Rom Drive.

5. Double-click on the file titled Setup.exe.

6. Click OK in the RUN.. box.

While this is running the install again, it will not create duplicate information; it is just repairing the information which caused the "We have not detected" message in the first place.

At the end of the install, choose  not to restart your computer, then click Finish

Take the Reference Library CD out of the drive.

Start up PC Study Bible.  It should launch OK.

Variation B - Your version 3.3A (or 3.2F) CD is for an add-on, e.g. Registration Bonus, or Amplified Bible.
Install the CD the same way you did the first time.
Start up PC Study Bible.  It should launch OK.
