Verify that you can play music through your speakers using *other* programs.
Sometimes,
the Play icon on the screen doesn't work. When you have a hymn
displayed, go up to the menu across the top of the screen and click on
Music Pane > Play.
Go to the folder c:\Windows\Media and
there are WAV and MID files that can be used for testing the computer's
operation. Double click a MID file and if it doesn't play sound
through your speakers, then we know that the problem is with the
computer, not with PC Study Bible. Check the sound controls on your
computer – the sound control for MID files might be set to “mute”.
Or there may have been a conflict with iTunes ...
Open the Volume control on the Windows taskbar.
(You
may have to click on File > Properties and verify that the "SW
Synth" control is displayed if it is not automatically appearing.)
Take the SW Synth volume slider and move it up from "0" volume for midi file playback.
Or go to the Control Panel, open the Windows Volume Control, then increase the volume for SW Synth.
