Q: Will PC Study Bible work on a netbook computer?
A: Yes, if the netbook computer meets the system requirements for your version of PC Study Bible. Another name for a netbook is UMPC (Ultra Mobile Portable Computer).
Q: My netbook computer does not have a CD/DVD drive. How do I install PC Study Bible?
A: Installing software that comes on CD/DVD to a netbook computer which doesn't have a CD/DVD drive requires a certain level of technical expertise. If you don't understand these instructions, or your discs (CDs/DVDs) do not meet the requirements listed below, you'll need to buy or borrow an external CD/DVD drive in order to install your PC Study Bible to your netbook.
This approach works for discs as long as each install needs only the disc it starts from. In other words, this approach will *not* work for any Biblesoft product which is delivered on a *set* of CDs, e.g. the Professional Reference Library Upgrade can come as a set: CD1, CD2, CD3, and CD4. During the install of this library, at the end of CD1, it asks for CD2, and so on. If you have one of these CD sets, you may be able to purchase an equivalent DVD. Assuming your set of discs meets the requirements above...
Using a computer with a CD/DVD drive, copy each disc to its own folder on an external hard drive (or a flash/thumb drive). In other words, if you have 5 Biblesoft discs, you'll end up with 5 folders added to the external drive.
Now connect the external drive to the netbook. Use My Computer to open that external drive. In the same order that you would install the actual discs, open each folder you created on the external drive and double-click the file SETUP.EXE to run the install for that folder.
Once you have finished all of these installs, and your PC Study Bible works, you can delete the disc folders from the external drive.
