User Testimonials

"Just a word to praise your efforts on the new version 5.

It is a tremendous improvement over previous versions, especially in regard to language use.

I have three other bible software programs which I use, yours is head and shoulders above the others.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!"

How do I hear the pronunciation of a Greek word? (KB972)

To hear the pronunciation of the Greek,
open any reference work that contains actual Greek (not the transliteration).
For example, click on Greek/Hebrew > By Verse > Interlinear Bible
The Verse Reference dialog opens.
Enter a New Testament verse, e.g. Matt 5:5
Click OK
Interlinear opens to Matt 5:5
Double-click on the Greek for the first word (its Strong's number is 3107)
The Word Information panel appears in the lower left, at the bottom of the navigation panel
Click on the speaker/microphone button in that panel
In 10-15 seconds, you will hear the pronunciation over your computer's speakers.

(1) The pronunciation given is for the general form of the word, not its specific form in this verse. To illustrate "general form" in English, let's say that the verse contains the form "looked", then the general form that is pronounced would be "look".
(2) Many Greek words in PC Study Bible have pronunciation, but not all.
(3) PC Study Bible does not have pronunciation for Hebrew.
(4) Only the larger libraries contain the pronunciation feature:
 Complete Reference Library
Advanced Reference Library
Professional Reference Library.
The id number of this entry is 473.
