The following is an example of this problem, but not the only way it can appear.
Open the Jamieson, Fausset & Brown Commentary to Daniel 6:26
Click on Set Bible to Current Context
Click in the left-hand panel to move the focus back to Jamieson, Fausset & Brown Commentary.
Use mouse scroll wheel to move down to Dan 7:1.
Click on Set Bible to Current Context
Result: PC Study Bible hangs up with an hourglass showing. Text at the bottom of both panels repeats in the lower half of each panel. The problem seems to be specific to this pattern of steps; if you add steps or remove steps, there is no problem, e.g. leave out the mouse wheel step and it works fine.

- Open a Bible, e.g. to Genesis 1:1.
- Click on the "paper clip" button at the bottom of the screen.
- The My Personal Notes panel opens.
- Click on the "paper clip plus" button in that panel.
- Verse Reference dialog appears, showing Gen 1:1. (And it may say "No data for this reference!" at the bottom.)
- Click OK.
- The cursor appears inside the My Personal Notes panel.
- Type something, e.g. "Glory to God!", without the quotation marks.
- Click on the "Save changes and exit editing mode" button at the bottom. (Looks like a floppy disc with an arrow above it.)
- Click on the "X" in the top right of the My Personal Notes panel to close it.
- Now you see the full Bible passage, and there may be a paper clip before the Bible Book name, e.g. "Genesis".
- Close PC Study Bible.
- Open PC Study Bible again. The error message should not appear.
Version 5.0C
Q: Why have there been several different "Post Dates" for the 5.0C Download on your website?
A: Earllier postings of the 5.0C Download had trouble detecting that Version 5 had been installed on some computers, so it would incorrectly report that Version 5 had not been detected. For post dates prior to 05.01.07, the content of the 5.0C downloads is the same; only the installation program has changed. Beginning with the 05.01.07 post date, the 5.0C download includes an update to the King James Version, in order to fix some concordance search problems. If you have already successfully installed an older Post Date of the 5.0C Download and you do not use the King James Version, you do not need to download a newer posting of 5.0C.
Version 5.0C corrects the following problems:
Issues in Version 5.0C:
A Concordance search for "God" in the King James Version gives very few results. The solution is to download a version 5.0C with a Post Date of 05.01.07 or later.
