Using a PC Study Bible Photo as your Windows Desktop/Background/Wallpaper

These instructions are for Windows XP.  Similar instructions would apply for other Windows versions.

  1. Close/Minimize all programs & windows except PC Study Bible.
  2. Open the photo you want in PC Study Bible.
  3. Right-click on the photo and choose “save image to clipboard”
  4. Left-click on Start > Program > Accessories > Paint
  5. Left-click Edit > Paste
  6. Left-click File > Save As
  7. Save the photo in your My Photos folder or other folder that you can find, using a file name that you can remember.
  8. Close Paint.
  9. You should be back at your Windows desktop (where all your icons/shortcuts are).
  10. Find an area of the desktop that does not have an icon/shortcut on it.
  11. Right-click in that area.
  12. A menu appears
  13. Left-click on  Properties
  14. The Display Properties dialog appears.
  15. Left-click on the Desktop tab.
  16. Left-click on the Browse button.
  17. Move to the folder where you saved the photo.
  18. Left-click on the photo name (that you remembered from above)
  19. Left-click the Open button.
  20. The Desktop tab re-appears.
  21. Left-click on the Apply button.
  22. Left-click on the OK button.
  23. You should be back at your Windows desktop (where all your icons/shortcuts are), with the PC Study Bible photo as your background.
  24. You're finished.
