You are allowed to search the Bible using the Englishman's Concordance without entering an English word or a Bible verse. As you become more familiar with PC Study Bible, you may find times when this is a useful feature.  Until then, you can use any of the following other options to find a Strong's number for a particular idea or English word.

1. Strong's Dictionary by Verse .  If you know which verse a word is in, you can open the Strong's dictionary to that verse. You will see numbers next to each word or phrase.  Selecting one of these numbers (by double-clicking it) will reveal its definition. At the bottom of the definition window there is an "E" icon -- it's all the way over on the left side.  Clicking this will perform the Englishman's search for that word (or number as you see it).

2. The Interlinear Bible can be used to find this information, as well as open definitions.  Follow the same steps listed above to access the Concordance.

3. Use Vine's to find the definition of a word .  Each Vine's article begins with a Strong's number.  Just like the options above, selecting this number will display its definition. Look for the "E" icon on the lower tool bar.  Click here to perform the Englishman's Concordance search.

Remember:  Strong's numbers start counting over again with Greek words. Usually an "OT" will be used before a number to indicate Hebrew (Old Testament), and an "NT" for Greek (New Testament).  It's still a good idea to keep track of where you are looking for words and performing searches to keep your information in order.
