User Testimonials

"Just a word to praise your efforts on the new version 5.

It is a tremendous improvement over previous versions, especially in regard to language use.

I have three other bible software programs which I use, yours is head and shoulders above the others.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!"

Why do I have two icons - one for version 3 and one for version 4?

Why this happened

Some of the CDs you installed were version 3 add-ons.  Yes, version 3 add-ons *do* work in Version 4 of PC Study Bible.

All of the PC Study Bible add-ons are smart enough to install their *content*, and not install their *program* update, if you already are running a newer version.  So, for example, if you are running version 4.0 (or later) of PC Study Bible, then you install The Amplified Bible with 3.3A Update, The Amplified Bible *will* be installed into your version 4 program, but the 3.3A Update will *not* be installed.

However, there is a nuisance side effect of installing a version 3 add-on onto a version 4 system: you may see a PC Study Bible *3* (three) icon appear on your desktop (and in your Start > Programs menu), in addition to version 4.  This does *not* mean that you have installed both version 3 and version 4; these are just extra version 3 shortcuts.

How do I fix it?

Install last one of the following CDs:
--- first choice: any add-on CD which mentions Version 4.2B or later.  If you have several of these, choose the CD with the highest version, e.g. 4.2F is better than 4.2B.
--- second choice: Version 4 Upgrade Bonus (BON-50PD-2 or later).  Also called Version 4 Bonus.
--- third choice: your Reference Library CD which has the highest version, e.g. 4.1 is better than 4.0.

If such a CD has already been installed, re-installing it will *not* create duplicate information; it just cleans up any version 3 icons and (if it is one of the more recent CDs) it consolidates all PC Study Bible entries in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs into a single line ("PC Study Bible (remove only)").

The id number of this entry is 240.
