Determine the name of the file containing your personal study notes. 

Your Personal Study Notes are saved in the folder titled "RefWorks".  This is usually located in C:\Program Files\Biblesoft\PC Study Bible 3.0 {throughout these instructions, this "PC Study Bible 3.0" folder may be called "PC Study Bible 4", if you are running version 4}.  There may be two files associated with each Study Note, though there may only be one.  The file extensions are “J4L” or “JDR”.  "My Personal Notes" is PC Study Bible's default study note set, and is titled "default" in the RefWorks.  Any other set you created will be called whatever "Short Name" you assigned it at the time of creation. 

You can check this name by opening PC Study Bible, choosing Options from the main menu, and selecting Preferences.  Scroll down and click on Reference Works in the left pane.  Click on the Reference Work in right pane you would like to find the file name for.  Once you've highlighted it, click on the Attributes button just below that pane.  The first tab, titled Reference Works Information, will list the File Name near the bottom of this box.  It might be gray, and thus difficult to read.  This “File Name” gives the name of the file and the folder where it is located.
