- Open Word (If Word is already open, close it, then open it again.)
- Double-Click on TOOLS in the menu.
- If your version of Word does not show the following options, skip to step 9.
- Click on Macro.
- Click on Security.
- Click on the Security Level tab if it is not already displayed.
- Set the Security Level to Low.
- Click OK on the Security box.
- Close Word completely.
- Choose START.
- Move up to All Programs.
- Move over to PC Study Bible 4 {or 5}.
- Choose "Install Copy Macros. . ." from this menu.
- Word opens.
- Find and double-click the INSTALL button in this document.
- The macro is now installed. Read/print this document for information on the copy macros.
- Double-Click on TOOLS in the menu.
- If your version of Word does not show the following options, skip to step 24.
- Click on Macro.
- Click on Security.
- Click on the Security Level tab if it is not already displayed.
- Set the Security Level to Medium or High.
- Click OK on the Security box.
- Close Word completely.
- Your macros are now installed and your macro security is back to what it was before.
Try it!
- Start PC Study Bible. (The macros work best if PC Study Bible is already running.)
- Open Word.
- Create a new Word document. You will now see a toolbar that looks something like this:

(If you don't see this toolbar, click on View > Toolbars > PCSB. In Word 2007, this is visible under the Add-ins tab.)
- To fetch a scripture from PC Study Bible into Word...
- In Word, type the scripture you would like pasted, e.g. John 3:16
- Leave the cursor blinking to the right of the "6"
- Then click the button that looks like a Bible. This should fetch your scripture directly from PC Study Bible into Word.

Word 2007 - Special Instructions
- Temporarily turn off macro security in Word, as follows:
- Open Word 2007.
- Left-click on the Office Button
(round button in top-left of screen).
- Left-click on Word Options across the bottom of the window.
- Word Options dialog opens, with the title Change the most popular options in Word.
- Left-click on Trust Center in the left column.
- Word Options dialog shows the title Help keep your documents safe and your computer secure and healthy.
- Left-click on Trust Center Settings over on the right side of the dialog.
- Trust Center window opens.
- In the Macro Settings section, left-click on Enable all macros (not recommended; potentially dangerous code can run).
- Left-click OK.
- Word Options dialog shows the title Help keep your documents safe and your computer secure and healthy.
- Left-click OK.
- We return to the main screen of Word 2007.
- Close Word 2007.
- Install the Copy Macros, as follows...
- Left-click on Start > Programs {or All Programs} > PC Study Bible 4 {or 5} > Install Copy Macros.....
- Word 2007 opens a document beginning "BIBLESOFT provides ...." This document was written for Word versions prior to Word 2007, but the concepts still apply in Word 2007. For example, Word 2007 still has the buttons
, but you need to click on the Add-Ins tab to see them.
- Double-click the Install button

- Right-click on Home in the top-left of Word

- Look for the Choose Commands from field near the top of the screen.
- By default, it shows Popular Commands.
- Left-click the dropdown arrow
to the right of Popular Commands.
- The command list in the left-hand column changes.
- Left-click on Macros (about the fourth line from the top)
- The command list in the left-hand column shows macros.
- Double-click on Normal.GetBibleRef.MAIN.
- Normal.GetBibleRef.MAIN appears at the bottom of the right-hand column.
- Left-click OK.

- The macro is the new button
at the end of the Quick Access Toolbar
