What are the Release Notes for version 4.2F?

Version 4.2F includes a program called NOTICE.EXE which tries to contact Biblesoft every time you start PC Study Bible. It is checking for any bulletins from Biblesoft that you should know about. If your firewall identifies NOTICE.EXE, you can permit it to access the internet.

If you want to turn off NOTICE.EXE,

1. Close PC Study Bible.

2. On your Windows desktop (where all the icons are displayed), right-click on the PC Study Bible 4 icon (shortcut)

3. Left-click on Properties

4. The Properties dialog appears.

5. At the bottom, left-click on the Find Target button.

6. In the resulting window, left-click on the View menu and left-click on Details.

7. The window now shows one item per row, usually in alphabetical order.

8. Find the file NOTICE.EXE

9. Delete it.

10. Close any open windows.

11. Start PC Study Bible.

12. NOTICE.EXE should not run as PC Study Bible opens.

The Version 4.2F download (PCSB42FUPDT0413.EXE) from www.Biblesoft.com does not fix the GRAMCORD parsing problem described in KB699. You need to apply the patch in KB699.

Version 4.2F fixes the Bible Reading Plan problem described in KB640

Version 4.2F fixes the Run-time Error 429 described in KB637

Version 4.2F adds the ability to paste using RTF (Rich Text Formatting), meaning you can paste Greek or Hebrew from PC Study Bible into almost any Windows program which supports RTF. You can also turn off RTF, thereby solving the problem described in KB669.
