User Testimonials

"Just a word to praise your efforts on the new version 5.

It is a tremendous improvement over previous versions, especially in regard to language use.

I have three other bible software programs which I use, yours is head and shoulders above the others.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!"

How do I set my Bible preference (default Bible)?

Starting with version 4.0B, the process for setting your default Bible is different from version 3 and earlier releases of version 4.

To Set the Default Bible Translation

  1. Start PC Study Bible
  2. Select Options > Setup Helper
  3. Move through the Helper pages until you find the page for choosing a translation.

The Version 3 Method No Longer Works

The v3 method (Options > Preferences > Default Reference Works) does not work to change the default Bible translation in v4.  Starting in version 4.1, the arrow buttons in Options > Preferences > Bibles are disabled (grayed out).

To Change the Default or Ordering of Other Reference Works

See Options > Reorganize Existing Materials, per KB508.

Version 5 - How do I set one of the "Additional Bibles" as my default?

In Version 5 of PC Study Bible, when you have a Bible open, you'll see the Additional Bibles section at the bottom of the list of Bibles along the left-hand side of the screen.  To set any of these Additional Bibles as your default, use Options > Reorganize Existing Materials, per KB508.  Options > Setup Helper does not include the Additional Bibles.
