The installation instructions say to turn off my anti-virus program before installing PC Study Bible and add-ons. How do I do this?
Usually, your anti-virus program, if active, will show a little icon at the right-hand end of your Start bar, to the left of where the time is displayed. Put your mouse cursor over each of these little icons and one of them will pop up the name of your anti-virus program. The easiest way to temporarily shut down (turn off) your anti-virus program is to right-click on this icon and choose "disable" or "exit" or "close". If you have successfully turned off the anti-virus program, either the little icon will change shape/appearance or disappear.
How do I turn the anti-virus back on? If the little icon changed shape or appearance, right-click on that icon again and choose "enable" or "activate" or other option to resume protection. If the little icon disappeared, restarting your computer will bring your anti-virus program back into effect.
I still don't know how to turn my anti-virus software off or how to turn it back on. See the documentation for your anti-virus program or contact the vendor of your anti-virus program.
