The change in behavior you are seeing is called Rich Text Formatting (RTF). The following article applies to both version 4 and version 5 of PC Study Bible.
Version 4.2C
RTF was added to the Copy/Paste function starting in version 4.2C.
Unfortunately, the Options > Preferences > Clipboard > Provide RTF checkbox was not added until 4.2D, so there is no way to turn off RTF in 4.2C. This was an oversight on our part and we apologize for the inconvenience.
The solution is the free upgrade to version 4.2F (or later). See the instructions at the end of this article titled Download Upgrade to Version 4.2F. Or you can buy any add-on/update which contains version 4.2F (or later.) If you can't upgrade to 4.2F or don't want to, the only other solutions to this pasting problem, at this time, are to:
(a) completely uninstall, then re-install up to and including 4.2B (which is the last version before RTF was added)
-- or --
(b) use Edit > Paste Special > Plain Text, or the equivalent, in the receiving program, e.g. WordPerfect or Microsoft Word.
Version 4.2D and later (including Version 5)
If you already have version 4.2D or later, you can turn off RTF Paste this way:
Start PC Study Bible
click on Options > Preferences > Clipboard
UN-check Provide RTF
Click the Save button
