This message is harmless. Just click OK, then follow the instructions below. If the message mentions UBS_, skip down in this article.
This is an indication of a duplicate file. You can find and delete it to cause the message to disappear without adversely affecting PC Study Bible. For instance, the message may read:
Reference work file C:\Program Files\Biblesoft\PC Study Bible 4\RefWorks\RW000121_Hitch+++.JSR is being ignored due to duplicate full name Hitchcock's Bible Name's Dictionary
Simply search your computer for "RW000121". To do this, choose "Start" from the Windows Taskbar, and select "Search" or "Find". Choose All Files and Folders. In the Named box, you will enter all or part of the filename you are searching for (do not include the extension, ".jsr"). You would enter "RW000121" for this example (without the quotation marks). Make sure you are searching "My Computer", not "Document Folders". Click Search or Find Now.
One or two files may be found, such as:
RW000121_Hitch+++.JSR
RW000121_Hitch+++.JIX
Delete both of these files. This can be done by selecting a file with a single-click on your mouse, and then pressing the Delete key on your keyboard.
If the message includes "UBS_"...
The solution will be a little different.
For example, the error message might read:
Reference work file C:\Program Files\Biblesoft\PC Study Bible 4\RefWorks\UBS_MAP.JSR is being ignored due to duplicate full name "Interlinear New Testament"
(You might have several messages that mention "UBS_".)
The solution is ...
- Go to the folder listed in the error message, e.g.
C:\Program Files\Biblesoft\PC Study Bible 4\RefWorks
- In that folder, DELETE all the files that begin "UBS_".
CAUTION: Before you delete a file, MAKE SURE it has an underscore ("_") as the fourth character in the File Name. The reason for this caution is that you may see some files (and you should NOT delete them) which start with "UBS" but have a *different* character as the fourth character, e.g. do not delete UBSHand.JSR.
- Close the folder.
- Start PC Study Bible and the error message should not appear.
