User Testimonials

"Just a word to praise your efforts on the new version 5.

It is a tremendous improvement over previous versions, especially in regard to language use.

I have three other bible software programs which I use, yours is head and shoulders above the others.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!"

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-Dos and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose Close to terminate the application.

We’re still learning about this problem.  Our current theory is that the problem occurs when a Windows Update does not complete successfully.

  1. Use My Computer to open the folder c:\Windows\Repair
  2. Copy the file Autoexec.nt out of c:\Windows\Repair and Paste it into the folder c:\Windows\System32
  3. Open the folder c:\Windows\System32
  4. Right-click on Autoexec.nt and left-click on Open.
  5. You’ll get a window saying that Windows can’t open this kind of file.
  6. Click to Select Program from a list.
  7. Click OK.
  8. You see an Open With window.
  9. Click on Notepad.
  10. Make sure there is a checkmark on “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file”
  11. Click OK.
  12. Right-click on Autoexec.nt and left-click on Edit. (this is the option we added by the above Open With steps)
  13. The Autoexec.nt file opens in a window.
  14. Make sure it contains the following lines.  You can ignore any lines that start with REM.  If you don’t see these lines, contact Biblesoft Technical Support
        @echo off
        lh %SystemRoot%\system32\mscdexnt.exe
        lh %SystemRoot%\system32\redir
        lh %SystemRoot%\system32\dosx
  15. Click the “x” button in the top right corner to close the Autoexec.nt window.
  16. Right-click on Autoexec.nt and left-click on Properties.
  17. In the Attributes area, put a check mark on Read-Only.  (We believe this step will make it less likely that the problem will occur again.)
  18. Click Apply.
  19. Click OK.
  20. Close My Computer and any other windows that are open.
  21. Now PC Study Bible should work.
