User Testimonials

"Just a word to praise your efforts on the new version 5.

It is a tremendous improvement over previous versions, especially in regard to language use.

I have three other bible software programs which I use, yours is head and shoulders above the others.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!"

What is the bonus for registering a version 4 standalone Pulpit Commentary?

When you register a standalone version 4 Pulpit Commentary, you may choose one of the following Bible translations as your bonus.  Either choice includes Spurgeon's Encyclopedia of Sermons.

  • Spurgeon's Encyclopedia of Sermons and The New International Version (NIV) Bible. (Pulpit Bonus NIV)
  • Spurgeon's Encyclopedia of Sermons and The New American Standard Updated (NASU) Bible. (Pulpit Bonus NASU)
  • Here are the Release Notes for the Pulpit Bonus NIV CD (PULNIV 4.2B  SBX00013NEWINTER0505) and the Pulpit Bonus NASU CD (PULNA 4.2B  SBX00014NEWAMERI0505).

  • This CD installs Tutorials for version 4.2E, yet the CD upgrades to version 4.2B.  The differences between 4.2B and 4.2E are minor so the Tutorials are still a big help.
  • The Tutorials include features from the largest PC Study Bible library, so there are some features mentioned in the Tutorials which you will not find in your standalone Pulpit Commentary, e.g. GRAMCORD parsing information.
  • Due to space limitations, not all of the Tutorial chapters fit on the CD.  Some of the Tutorials, e.g. Maps & Photos, must be downloaded from Biblesoft.  When you open Help > Tutorials, then click on Maps & Photos, it will take you to the correct web page.
  • The Tutorials on this CD have the "Director Player Error" problem/workaround described in KB711.
  • {obscure technical note} This CD does not have the CD Manager interface.  In other words, when you insert the CD, the install starts; you do not see a menu including Install/Refresh and Uninstall.
  • After installing this CD, you will find a new option in the Start menu: Start > Programs > PC Study Bible 4 > Reset to Factory Defaults.  If you ever get an error message from PC Study Bible, try this option - it might save you a call to Tech Support.
  • While it is not a typical scenario, this CD will install properly over the 4.2B Basic Edition.
  • This CD will not work if installed over a standalone version 3 (three) Pulpit Commentary.
  • The id number of this entry is 130.
